Patricia graduated from Penn High School in 1966. She received her Beauticians license in Mishawaka Indiana. She worked as a QMA at Our Lady of the Angels St. Francis Convent, then moved to Decatur, Indiana in 1987. While working full-time and raising a family, Patricia obtained her degree as a Respiratory Therapist; a true testament to her ability to achieve anything. She began working at Adams Memorial Hospital, where she worked for 17 years and St. Joseph Hospital Fort Wayne, Indiana for 13 years. Faith as a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, Indiana was very important to her and her family which was evident by her involvement with her Parish.
Patricia was a loving and kind Mother and cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was one of the most kind-hearted and gracious woman you would ever meet. She didn’t know a stranger and would give a helping hand to anyone who asked. She took pride in the many lives she saved through the love of her working hands. She was very well respected for her knowledge in respiratory therapy by her peers and doctors. Patricia was a constant advocate for friends and family members when they were ill. There was nothing more Patty enjoyed than being surrounded by her family and lifelong friends. Despite the fact she suffered many illnesses through her life, she accepted it and found joy in some of life simplest moments. One of these simple moments being, her love for Notre Dame Football. She volunteered for years as an usher at the stadium during home football games. Patty will be dearly missed by family and friends.
